ROCKWOOL has been specifically developed for the insulation of cold pipes of technical systems and is suitable for drinking water, cooling water and cold water pipes. This high-quality, non-flammable stone wool insulation system combines all the proven properties of ROCKWOOL products. What, then, is cold insulation? Cold insulation is the insulation of media with a temperature below the ambient temperature.
Together with ROCKWOOL, OOI has put together a day course to teach participants how to professionally and correctly install TECLIT. After successfully completing the course day, you will be a certified as a ROCKWOOL TECLIT installer and you will receive an OOI/ROCKWOOL TECLIT certificate.
Resultaat / Result
The course to attain the qualification of certified ROCKWOOL TECLIT installer covers the basic principles of the theory underlying cold insulation, practical exercises and the warranty conditions tested by ROCKWOOL under the expected conditions in cold insulation.

Insulation installers with some experience in installing mineral wool lagging and blankets.

The course consists of a theoretical and a practical part:
Explanation of theory, with a PowerPoint presentation, covering:
- Relative humidity
- Medium temperature
- Surface temperature
- Dew point
- Ambient temperature
- Why insulate cold pipes?
- The ROCKWOOL TECLIT system
Applying TECLIT system in practice to dummies;
- Installing TECLIT lagging
- Installing TECLIT blankets
- Making the TECLIT system vapour tight
- Correct use of the various tapes

Examen / Exam
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an OOI/ROCKWOOL TECLIT certificate.
Vooropleiding / Pre-training
Some experience with installing cold insulation is required.
The course dates vary, and will be scheduled in mutual consultation. The course is given at the OOI training centre in Woerden. If there are sufficient participants, the course can be given in-company in mutual consultation.
