If you have a management position in the non-residential building insulation sector and you grasp the basic principles of reading drawings of non-residential buildings, this continuation course will enable you to learn more about this subject. It is a continuation of the 'Reading drawings / Non-residential buildings I' course.
Resultaat / Result
You will learn to interpret insulation specifications and you will gain insight into the relationship between insulation specifications and system drawings. You will also learn to systematically extract from system drawings for insulation work and you will gain the skills needed to prepare the execution of insulation work for the insulation installers.
Doelgroep / Audience
Intended for insulation specialists who supervise larger groups of insulation installers at the installation site, or who have or aspire to a position that involves making the preparations for the installation work.
Inhoud / Content
The course is mix of theory and practice:
- Structure and content of insulation specifications
- Some in-depth coverage of soundproof and fire-resistant insulation with regard to the specifications
- Translating insulation specifications into system drawings
- Work method for abstracting from drawings
- Measurement method for air ducts
- Systematically abstracting from drawings
- Exercises with abstracting from system drawings
Examen / Exam
The theoretical part is concluded with a test in the form of an assignment. The practical assignment is assessed and participants who pass both the theory test and practical test will receive an OOI certificate.
Vooropleiding / Pre-training
The admission requirements are extensive work experience in the non-residential building sector and being able to read drawings at the level of the 'Reading drawings / Non-residential buildings I' course.
The course dates vary, and will be scheduled in mutual consultation. The course is given at the OOI training centre and in-company.
